Bishop Reno V. Smith is the number one requested minister of religion in the Bahamas for uniting couples from around the world in Holy matrimony. In recent times, he has united more than seven thousand (7,000) couples from as far as Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Russia, Canada, the United States of America, the Caribbean, throughout the African continent and many other countries.
For over thirty (30) years, he has worked out of Freeport, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas as a wedding coordinator and marriage officer. But his license gives him the power to solemnize weddings throughout the entire Bahamas.
Bishop Smith performed destination weddings in tandem with his wife, Pastor Bronwen A. Smith. Both are two of the few seminary-trained clergymen in the Northern Bahamas. They have studied at the American Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville, TN, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, and the Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI.
All ministers cannot automatically perform a legal wedding in The Bahamas, regardless of their ordination and/or theological training. The Bahamas Government appoints ministers to various districts or islands, and a few are made marriage officers of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Hence, having two qualified marriage officers as a part of the Bahamas Wedding Paradise team provides a wealth of experience and ability.
The Small Details
Bahamas Wedding Paradise specializes in both civil/non-traditional and traditional weddings. Both Bishop Smith and Pastor Smith perform weddings of all faiths, including but not limited to Baptist, Methodist, Episcopal/Anglican, Jewish, Unity, Lutheran, Presbyterian, and Roman Catholic (with prior approval from the Holy See).
